Dr.
Hisham N. Ashkouri, AIA,
President and Founder of ARCADD,
Inc.
Dr. Ashkouri graduated with honors
in 1970 with a Bachelor of Architecture Degree and continued
for his Masters of Architecture at the University of Pennsylvania
under the late Louis I. Kahn in 1973. He further completed
his Urban Design studies at Harvard University and M.I.T.
with Masters in Urban Design. Dr. Ashkouri completed his Doctoral
work in the field of Ergonomics at Tufts University in 1983.
Dr. Ashkouri established ARCADD,
Inc. in 1986 in the field of new Computer Technology and Design
where he instructed classes of professional architects in
CADD systems and Architecture through latest technology applications.
ARCADD has since completed over
750 design projects ranging from $220,000 to $165,000,000
for the U.S. Federal Government, State of Massachusetts, local
cities and towns and other international clients.
The highlights of Dr. Ashkouri's projects
include the completion of eight international and U.S.A. design
competitions including Abu Dhabi Library
and Cultural Center and the 1st Park for the Handicapped
in the U.S.A. in the New York World's Fairgrounds as well
as the design of Kansai-Khan Library,
in Tokyo, Japan.
Currently Dr. Ashkouri has been designing South Portland City Hall ($12 M), Framingham Town Hall ($49.5 M), and Cold Spring Green, a high-end sustainable residential project in Newton, MA. |
