Hunt Memorial Library Building Renovation
Nashua, New Hampshire

The Hunt Memorial Library, designed by Ralph Adams Cram in the Elizabethan Gothic Revival style, was completed in 1903. Listed in the National Register of Historic Places and included in the Nashua Historic District, the Hunt Memorial Building was voted a cornerstone of the community in a statewide indemnification program of significant New Hampshire structures.

The building is made of brick with heavy sandstone trimmings and has a large wing extending from the Clinton Street side of the structure.

ARCADD, Inc. is currently consulting with the City of Nashua regarding the extent of work and is investigating and documenting the existing conditions relating to the buildingÕs improvements.

Required repairs to the building include replacing the copper roofing system, gutters, and skylights, including flashing, glazing, and finishes. The central tower and the main entry to the building must also be refurbished.

The estimated construction cost for this project is $220,000. ARCADD, Inc. expects to complete this project within the estimated time and budget.
