U2 Landmark Tower

This competition entry, a 60m tall landmark tower, is designed for the Docklands district in Dublin , Ireland , as part of an urban renewal plan. It includes an exclusive recording studio for the rock band U2, as well as a nightclub/restaurant and mixed residential/commercial office space.
The building effortlessly projects skyward as cyan, violet, and deep rose tinted panes of glass define and give form to the structure. A symphony of colors yields a rhythm, complexity and playfulness reiterated throughout the building, which is well suited to a dynamic public space.
